The project is an in-depth and engaging summary that tackles the pressing issues of data privacy and security within the context of instructional technology. Over two focused and dynamic days, I carefully crafted it using Visme, seamlessly integrating four essential components of the 5E Model: engage, explore, explain, and elaborate. To enhance the learning experience, I thoughtfully applied several of Richard Mayer's multimedia principles, ensuring that the information was accessible and impactful.

The final product is an asynchronous digital whiteboard presentation that thoroughly investigates the intricate nuances of data privacy. It goes beyond mere facts by highlighting the ethical considerations involved in collecting, storing, and using sensitive data. The presentation includes a detailed case study that illustrates the real-world implications of data practices in educational settings to ground the discussion in reality. Furthermore, it offers practical strategies and best practices to help educators and stakeholders safeguard learners' data and uphold their privacy rights. This comprehensive approach aims to inform and empower those navigating the complexities of instructional technology in today's ever-evolving digital landscape, equipping them with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions.

Ethical Technology
Leadership Statement

In my ethical technology leadership statement, I reflect on my commitment as an instructional designer to consistently promote a safe, ethical, and accessible learning environment for all learners in my designs. Throughout the semester, my Professional Ethics in Instructional Technology course helped me define and develop my ethical framework and philosophy related to reflection, interrogation, and design, which are essential elements in the Learning and Instructional Design Technology (LIDT) field.

The final paper illustrates how I intend to employ my ethical behaviors and principles, such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL), to address the challenges faced by diverse learners, promote inclusivity, and encourage the analysis of technology design through a metamodernism lens.
