This project is an Articulate Rise 360 course I developed to train instructional design students on microlearning, focusing on four essential components of the 5E Model: engage, explore, explain, and elaborate. The course is designed for asynchronous instruction, utilizing an instructivist approach. I incorporated the ARCS model to capture the learners' attention and ensure relevance, confidence, and satisfaction. This training provides instructional design students with practical skills they can apply in their future projects.
Additionally, Mayer’s multimedia principles incorporate images and videos that enhance the course's text content. The course outlines the benefits, tools, and steps for effective microlearning course design, offering practical guidance for developing concise and targeted microlearning experiences with real-world applicability for instructional designers.
AECT Standards and Alignment
Standard 1: Content Knowledge (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5) applied the 5E model, Gagne, Gestalt, Keller, Mayer, and Sweller ID design principles/theories, knowledge in technology selection for an effective learning experience.
Standard 2: Content Pedagogy (2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5) applied and implemented appropriate technologies with assessment and managed processes to provide flexible and diverse learning instruction.
Standard 3: Learning Environment (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.5, 3.6) applied Bloom's Taxonomy and Merrill's First Principles of Instruction to create a compelling and appropriate learning environment, using various learner assessments and feedback to improve learning performance.

This project is an Articulate Storyline 3 course I developed to train instructional design students on mobile learning, focusing on four essential components of the 5E Model: engage, explore, explain, and elaborate. The course is designed for asynchronous instruction, utilizing an instructivist approach. The course utilizes a animated character guide Anna that narrates the entire course (foundation of m-learning, benefits and challenges, principles, tool and technologies). It incorporated the ARCS model to capture the learners' attention and ensure relevance, confidence, and satisfaction. This training provides instructional design students with practical skills they can apply in their future projects.
